Hi, I was in Singapore in 1998 and I found the city to be full of beautiful girls. In 2008, it appears that there are no more beautiful girls. What has happened?

- Thank you for your compliment! Well, it’s been 10 years, so we’ve grown older! Perhaps you need to look a little harder because your standard of pretty girls may have been raised! That’s probably 1 of the reason why you can’t find them anymore.
- You got older and expect people your age to be a hot as they were 10 years ago. If you look at the 18-26 year old they are still hot. Go to Cafe Del Mar on Sentosa on a sunny day and tell me there are no hot girls there!

- Hi Im a Singaporean and Im extremely shocked that somebody actually think that Singapore has alot of pretty girls, or at least had. I have been staying in this country since I was born (nearing 30 years) and I must say Singapore has everything, except ‘lotsa pretty gers’. The gers of Singapore are generally ugly. Sorry but that is the best word I can find already. By that, I mean both the inner and the physical beauty. In GENERAL, the gers have awful fashion sense. The thing is, most Singapore gers are boring creatures, their only hobby is shopping. YET, their fashion sense sux. I have no idea why, maybe its a culture thing. This is especially obvious when you randomly pick a ger from the Singapore streets as compared to one from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, HK etc. Ok so maybe its Singapore’s fault that it doesnt have the great trendy fashion places like Harajuku of Japan or Xi Men Ding of Taiwan. But do note that Singapore does have places where they try to bring in better fashion like Far East and Heeren. Well, maybe nobody dares to be ‘outstanding’ by testing out the better foreign fashion. So they end up avoiding the boots and other stuff just to avoid the stares that they may invite. Once again, I stress that this is not their fault, its probably bcoz its already a culture here…to be in a simple jeans and some tshirt or spags. Afterall, Singapore is a hot country, so Im always understanding in the simple way they dress. With the similar cultural reason, it will also explain why their makeups or hairdos, are that plain simple. While it is understanding in the way they are confined to their choice of dressing, it has never been a comprehensible thing with regards to their ugly inner selves. Singapore gers are mostly spoilt, unreasonable, bad temper or simply low class. To begin with, generally gers in Sg are catergorized into 3 grps…the mature biz woman, the geeks and ‘the happening’. The first type are generally the working class earning the big bucks. Yeah, i must admit they do dress in sophistication. Then again, its just a dressing code for the office. They do speak well and present themselves well…at least to the public. Yet my first hand encounters from my previous ex gfs reveal that behind their mature front is the true horror which I described as above. They put on their mask in the day, only to be taken out when alone, or alone with the bf (after long enuff of time). Next the geeks…well, they are ugly, they dress ugly, boring by nature. Nothing much to be said abt them. The last grp is the happening ones, supposedly. Usually they are further sub categorized as the english speaking ones or the hokkien speaking ones (ah lian). The former probably are the best dressers of Sg, along with the biz ladies, depending on individual’s preference of style. However, that’s just it. Good to look at (in sg only), empty inside. Usually just a bunch of kids trying to be IN. After all the clubbing with fellow wannabes, they are just the typical gers of Sg. For the ah lians, they are worse, they have the additional trait of being low class, speaking with Hokkien vulgarities is common. The worst ones speak with a face that really invites a slap. Only difference is instead of speaking english like their far east counterparts, their mother tongue is Hokkien with Singlish being the 2nd language. Well, all in all, I have no idea where u saw the pretty gers which u did a decade ago, all I can say is, u wont see them now in singapore in abundance. They are a highly protected specie which are soon to be extinct. Just before signing off, pls note that I am stereotyping based on what I see. Exceptions do exist, but its really rare especially when u want to compare against international standards. And by that, I am not comparing to country of a different class, like those from the third world. Man im so gonna get fired for sending in this…but thats a big truth in wat my frnds and I agree upon.

Generally speaking, I was told myriads of times that if someone was to look for young athletic blondes and brunettes, then Texas is the number 1 state for that. Few others disagreed; claiming California and Florida to be better. So is it true that Texan girls are (generally) the most beautiful in America? If not, which state do you think has the most beautiful girls?

- I would guess California if I had to pick a state but since beauty is in the eye of the beholder and since there are beautiful people everywhere, there would be no way to confirm it.
- If you want the thicker (as in the bust and rear) Texas. Genetically tan Florida. Original and thin California. My opinion California. Texas is OKAY not MOST beautiful.

- Definitely not , If your looking for blonde’s try California or Florida. If your liking for brunettes try Pennsylvania.In Pennsylvania there are black ,Asian, people who are Latino who look otherwise ans so forth. But the other states I would say is that they just have more money and more time to have beauty. It all depends Wat beauty is to you. - Pssshh. I was in Texas a few days ago, I’m on a road trip. I was there for like a week, and one thing I noticed is that it seemed a lot fo people were over-tanned, fake-dyed blonde, and big boobed. But overall I wouldn’t say people here look any different than people…anywhere else. It makes no sense to say that one state has more ‘beautiful people’ than any other state. I mean, you think all gorgeous people move to texas to be with their kind?
- I am not from Virginia. I have no ties personal or professional to Virginia. But I travelled through few times and was knocked flat on my ass by the beauty of some of those girls there. I’ve lived in 4 countries. I’ve travelled to probably 25 countries. I was struck by the beauty of girls in Virginia. Or maybe I was just lucky.

Often you see beautiful girls with bad habits such as smoking, drugs, excessive drinking, tramp stamps (tattoos), and being whores. No, not all of them are but the majority. It is so rare to find beautiful girls with goodie-too-shoes attitudes and good morals. Why?

I have seen a majority that HAVE GOOD morals.
- Because people are mean/jealous, even their own parents. Because they are treated like they are stupid even with a genius IQ. Because woman should have the same rights as men and if you are hot and have a sexual drive you can get it when others can’t. And as far as “morals” go, I think being kind is much more important than the trivial things you describe as morals. Also it’s easy for not beautiful girls to be goody two shoes. I suppose logic is not endowed to everyone. Nothing is what it seems - being rich can suck, being beautiful can suck and on and on….
- That is a generalization. I think bad habits can result from poor self image. Often, beautiful women are obsessed with their looks. They starve themselves, wear black to look thin, and spend too much money on clothes and accessories to enhance their looks. They don’t have the confidence to wing it with their brains and hearts. This does not change as they get older. I see grandmothers who try to look thirty years younger. I think age frustrates them.

- not long ago…i dated a guy that after we broke up…he started lightly stalking me…and when i got a court restraining order…he then attempted to kill himself… he was a kinda nice guy, but he got all possesive and wierd onme, the more we dated… i heard he had to go through a lot of therapy…just hope he has moved on.

- yes i did i overdosed on chest pills and if it was not for my best friend then i would not have made it through the night later on we did get back together but after 1.5 years together we broke up and never got together again, after 2 years without her i finally looking for my next love.
- I haven’t heard the song but I believe that if you are that shallow that you only look at the outer beauty of a girl then you probably wouldn’t actually commit suicide. I got really down and depressed (feeling somewhat suicidal) after my fiance cheated on me and we broke up years ago. One day, however, I just had an epiphany and thought about how she did not care about me and so why should I care about her. I moved on and met someone else. We’ve been married for 13 years and have 3 kids.

- first of all beuty is on the eye of the beholder, and beauty does die out. If you only look at a girl for her beauty then you are only looking at her for a good time “sex” and thats it, if it develops into a relationship and you get it more often better for you. And if you break up with her, yes you might be obsesed and all of that but not suicidal. There are pretty girls all over the world, I see them every weekend, but I dont want them, I am happy with what I have cus I felt in love for what she is the beauty I see in her and just cus I love her. As long as I had that “pretty” girl for one night is all good after that, no love no hurt.
- Yes. It was terrible. We were on-again-off-again for 5 years, she was a model and I was a broker… I left my job for a different career path and she got scared. She started seeing another guy and was ashamed to tell me about it. I found out (saw them together on the beach, kissing), and left her. I was suicidal for about a year after that. Frankly, it wasn’t because she was beautiful. It was because she made me feel good about myself. When I realized it was just for the money (as her actions clearly indicated), it destroyed my heart. I really put a lot into her. This was about three years ago. I got over it about a year later. I met more beautiful women and I focused on my new career, and slowly forgot her. Check this out: I just saw her again at a coffee shop about three months ago and there was all this electricity and stuff. She’s broken up from her second relationship since we split, she’s a wreck - I’m looking and feeling great, plus, I make three times as much as I did when I was with her. She can eat her heart out.
